how to feel better in 2016With the New Year comes 365 days to finally have the life you want. So, on January 1, you make New Year’s resolutions. Unfortunately, after a few weeks or months these resolutions are often forgotten as you fall back into old habits and old ways of thinking. Whether you want to eat better or amp up your workouts, there are several tips on how to feel better in 2016.

Focus On You Resolutions

There is a reason why you decided to make a list of resolutions. However, if you have a long list of items that you want to overhaul in your life, simplify the list and you will be able to have more resolutions completed by the end of the year. It is inevitable that you will experience setbacks when you are on your journey to how to feel better in 2016. However, you do not have to let a setback turn into an off month. Learn how to prioritize so you can get the results you are looking for.

Consider the Big Picture

There is a commonly held belief that resolutions should be specific such as lose a certain amount of weight or save a certain amount of money. Instead, it is better to focus on a certain value such as getting healthy, financial security or adding more money into a retirement plan.

Make Your Schedule Simpler

If you dread hearing the sound of your calendar ding every time a new task or appointment is added, it is time to simplify your schedule. The anxiety and dread can cause physical and emotional stress that will make your efforts to stick to your resolutions futile.

Make Time for a Healthier You

It is very important to make time for yourself every day. Even if you can only take a quick walk or meditate, carve out some time so you can rejuvenate and recharge. Remember your nervous system controls your whole body. Keeping your spine (which holds a large portion of the nervous system) aligned, will keep you healthier. With a properly aligned spine, you will feel less stress on your body; a healthier immune system; less back and neck pain; and many more benefits.

These are just a few of the tips on how to feel better in 2016. Focus on the overall goal of improving your quality of life and you will be surprised how accomplished you feel at the end of the year.
